During November, Unified Bowling continued the season competing in two meets, those being Hays home on Nov. 2 and regionals on Nov. 7.
The results for the Hays meet on Nov. 2 are as follows.
Liberal No. 1 was first with 843 pins, Hays No. 2 was second with 802 pins, Hays No. 1 was third with 798 pins, Garden City No. 1 was fourth with 766 pins, Great Bend No. 1 was fifth with 677 pins, Hays No. 3 was sixth with 623 pins, Junction City No. 1 was seventh with 623 pins, Liberal No. 3 was eighth with 621 pins, Liberal No. 1 was ninth with 616 pins, Garden City No. 2 was 10th with 570 pins, Garden City No. 3 was 11th with 566 pins, Garden City No. 5 was 12th with 508 pins, Hays No. 4 was 13th with 478 pins, Garden City No. 4 was 14th with 462 pins and Liberal No. 4 was 15th with 337 pins.
The Hays High School Unified Bowling team competed in its last meet at regionals on Nov. 7. The results are as follows.
Goddard Eisenhower was first with 901 pins bowled, Garden City was second with 790 pins, Salina South was third with 772 pins, Liberal was fourth with 772 pins, Great Bend was fifth with 751 pins, Junction City was sixth with 737 pins, Hays was seventh with 686 pins, Emporia was eighth with 675 pins, Mazie South was ninth with 539 pins, Hutchinson was 10th with 493 pins and Wamego was 11th with 422 pins.
The top five teams in regionals went to state, while the others ended their season.
“I think we did good overall as a team,” freshman Keaton Brown said. “At the start of the season, we were a team full of strangers, so I didn’t know how well we were going to be, however, by the end of the season, we really came together as a team and showed what we can do.”
