Boys soccer gets a big win at home
The Hays High boys soccer team had an away game on Tuesday, Oct. 11 against Wichita Trinity.
It was a closely fought game that went into two overtimes and ended in a 3-3 tie with goals coming from seniors Diego Muller and Jace St. Peter.
The boys then had a home game against a tough team in Bishop Carroll from Wichita. The Indians ended up getting a win with the final score of 3-1 with the goals coming from junior Brantlee Staab and St. Peter.
“I was happy with how we played this week against some good teams,” Staab said, while sophomore Kenny Fisher said, “I thought we played well; our attack was even better than usual.”
The team’s next games include the first on the road against Elyria Christian from McPherson on Monday, Oct. 17. Then the team will conclude its regular season with Senior Night on Thursday, Oct. 20 against Wichita Classical.
