Boys soccer gets tie and loss in recent games
The Hays High soccer boys had two games this week, tying with Great Bend and then losing to Dodge City.
The Great Bend game was close throughout the game, but Great Bend scored the first goal to open up the scoring, 1-0. Then, there was brother to brother action for Hays High, as sophomore Edwin Muller assisted his brother, junior Diego Muller, to tie the game at 1-1.
The game went on to have two overtimes and ended in a 1-1 tie.
For the Dodge City game, the boys lost 6-0. The boys were only down 2-0 at halftime to the defending state champions. Then, in the second half, Dodge City scored the rest of their goals in the second half to make it 6-0.
Next week, Hays High plays Great Bend and Garden City for two home games.
