Boys golf takes first at Salina Central Invitational on April 4
The boys golf team took first at the Salina Central Invitational on April 4.
For team scores, Hays led with a score of 308, followed by Topeka Seamen with 327 and Salina Central with 331. Other team scores were Salina South Green 341, Salina Central JV 357, Newton 359, Salina South Gold 402, Hutchinson JV 404 and Emporia 469.
Individually, freshman Trey McCrae took first with a score of 73 followed by sophomore Allen Zollinger in second place with a 74. Senior Payton Rudder took third with a score of 76 while junior Justin McCullick brought up the varsity team with a 308 in 16th place.
Other individual scores include freshman Josh Norris and junior Brent Koenigsman tied in 24th place with an 88. Sophomore Peyton Kieffer played for the JV team with a score of 87 in 19th place.
The boys’ next action will be on April 12 at the Goodland Invitational.
