Volleyball goes 3-0 at Colby Quad on Oct. 6
Recently traveling to Colby for the Colby Quad, the Lady Indian volleyball team went 3-0 playing against rival teams from Phillipsburg, Liberal, and Colby.
In the game against Phillipsburg, the Indians won in straight games with 25-14 and 25-17 victories. Junior Albany Schaffer had 10 digs while junior Kylie Brown and senior Ashlyn Parrish each had five kills. Junior Madison Prough had 11 assists and five aces.
Opposing Liberal, the team won again with 25-8 and 25-23 decisions, continuing their winning streak. Schaffer had 21 digs and junior Tessa Stickel had 11 kills. Prough also put up 13 assists.
Ending the night with another pair of victories, the squad remained undefeated for the night in 25-16 and 25-17 decisions against Colby. Schaffer had 13 digs for this game while Brown had nine kills. Prough also had nine assists.
With the wins, the Indians improved to 23-6 on the season. The team will now participate in the WAC tournament on Oct. 18 in Garden City.
