Girls cross country places fourth at Salina Central
The girls cross country team placed fourth out of seven teams with a score of 104 at the Salina Central meet on Oct. 12.
On the varsity team, freshman Marie Reveles finished in fifth place with a time of 16:43 which made her a medalist. Also medaling was freshman Haley George who finished in 18th place with a time of 17:29. Junior Summer Smith had a time of 18:20; freshman Alyssa Bryant, 18:44; senior Reagan Kaiser, 18:45; junior Bailee Leiker, 18:56; and senior Wendy Zimmerman, 19:09. There were 55 varsity runners.
For the junior varsity team, sophomore Lieacha Cook finished with a time of 19:44; junior Lisa Quinn, 20:06; sophomore Lacey Elkins, 20:30; freshman Alayna Arnhold, 21:21; freshman Jordyn Dake, 23:50; and Alysia Arnhold, 24:38.
Other team scores were Maize South, 23; Goddard, 70; Dodge City, 82; Salina South, 116; Emporia, 124; and Buhler, 189.
The next action for the lady Indians is WAC at Great Bend on Oct. 17.
