Hays High School Student Council hosted its annual candy cane sale this year from Dec. 11 to Dec. 13.
StuCo members volunteered to sell candy canes during PRIDE Time.
“The experience was my favorite part about it,” sophomore Gracie Kimbrel said. “It was fun pushing the cart around; I just felt important.”
They sold 847 candy canes this year and made a $257 profit to go towards student programs at Hays High. According to StuCo sponsor Luke Lundmark, teacher Alex Ford purchased many of the candy canes.
“Mr. Ford was amazing and purchased so many candy canes, so thank you to him!” Lundmark said.
