On Wednesday, Feb. 22, the Options Student Advisory Board hosted an event at Hays High, called “Chalk About Love,” in which students in all grades wrote inspiring, helpful, kind sayings and words on the sidewalk in front of the office.

About 70 kids came to the event, even though it was a cold day. “Chalk About Love” had actually been rescheduled twice before they had the event on Feb. 22.

“Chalk About Love was important because of the impact it made on how much our school cares about lifting others up,” junior Lily Garrison said. “We had a great turnout, and the amount of art displayed was amazing!”
