Many students feel overwhelmed by school and other activities and find themselves short for time dedicated to volunteer and community work. However, senior Arin Pfannenstiel has found time in her busy schedule to help make a difference in the community.
Pfannenstiel is selling bracelets she made to support Options, an organization dedicated to providing services for domestic and sexual violence victims. The program has a safety house for victims and also offers counseling.
“This experience has been such an eye opener,” Pfannenstiel said. “The victims exhibit a strength that most people don’t possess. The people who run Options dedicate hours and hours of service. It makes me feel so good knowing that I can contribute to it.”
The bracelets cost $5. Contact Pfannenstiel at 13apfannenstiel@usd489.com if you are interested in purchasing one.
