“Home” album review

Blue October’s latest album “Home”, released on April 22, has received praise from true fans of the band. While the album reflects the lead singer Justin Furstenfeld’s view on life and what he considers home, there is also a good twist of sound effects and instrumental tunes as well.

“Home”, the eighth studio album made by the band, shot to number one on the iTunes alternative page.

Furstenfeld not only has been working on the album since early 2015 but also celebrated the birth of his first son, Gunner Black in the same month of the release date.

The release of the album and also a documentary currently in the making required quite a bit of money considering this is their first DVD to ever be filmed. During his Sway tour, Furstenfeld offered at home concerts and private Skype sessions with the band for those who donated money.

The YouTube official music video “Home” has already had almost 200,000 views in just a week, which is almost a record for the band.

With numbers still growing, “Home” could be the best album Blue October has ever released.

I give this album a 10/10 because it has a wide variety of upbeat as well as serious slowed down songs. It also can be interpreted differently to each person who listens to it, which is really unique.
