Tick, tick, tick, tick ding! The timer sounds and the smell of fresh baked cookies fills the house. The chocolaty smell makes your mouth water. Many students cook and bake as a hobby.
“I enjoy cooking because all of my family enjoys it,” junior Abbey Rupke said. “I get my love for cooking mostly from my grandma.”
Senior Kendahl Garrett says that while she may not particularly like to cook, it is still something she does when she needs to.
“If I have to make something for a seminar party or another class, I usually take the time to do that,” Garrett said. “This year I made a chocolate chip cheeseball for our party. It was really good.”
Rupke’s favorite dish to cook had a saltier vibe.
“My favorite thing to cook is Galuskies, which are German cabbage rolls that have hamburger and rice in them with tomato sauce on top,” Rupke said.
