Lady Indians fall to Garden City
The lady Indians traveled to Garden City on Jan. 17 to take on the Buffaloes and lost 54-40.
The game started in favor of the Indians, as they led by nine points three separate times in the first half.
Also in first half, the Indians managed to keep the lead the entire time, but when the buzzer went off to sound the end of the first half, they were only ahead by one.
After halftime, the Buffaloes had total control of the game. They took the lead with 6:15 left in the third quarter, and the Indians could never make a comeback.
The Indians were down by 10 points at one point and managed to pull the deficit to four, but they could never find the footing they needed to catch up.
Senior Tasiah Nunnery lead her team with 10 points, which makes that her fifth game with double figures this season.
The lady Indians fall to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the Western Athletic Conference. They will travel to Colby to attend the 35th Orange and Black Classic Tournament on Jan. 23.
