The Lady Indians Volleyball team to travels Great Bend

The varsity team played in Great Bend on Oct. 5.

 

The Lady Indians Volleyball team traveled to Great Bend on Oct. 5 and played five games against Hutchinson, Great Bend, Ulysses, Salina Central, and Phillipsburg. 

 

They played Hutchinson and lost in two sets with scores of 22-25, and 9-25. Senior Tasiah Nunnery had 6 kills and junior Brooklyn Schaffer had 20 digs.  

 

The Lady Indians then took on Great Bend and lost in three sets with scores of 21-25, 25-23, and 24-26. 

Senior Tasiah Nunnery had 15 kills and 10 assists, senior Peyton Niernberger had 3 solo blocks and 4 block assists, junior Brooklyn Schaffer had 23 digs. 

 

For the third match of the day they took on Ulysses and won in two sets 26-24, and 25-18. Nunnery had 8 kills. 

 

They took on Salina Central and won in three sets with scores of 21-25, 25-20, and 25-17. Nunnery had 13 kills & 9 assists, junior Kaitlin Suppes had 9 assists, and Schaffer had 24 digs.  

 

For the last match of the day the Lady Indians took on Phillipsburg and won in three sets 15-25, 25-15, and 25-17Nunnery had 9 kills and 10 assistsSuppes had 7 assists, and Schaffer had 10 digs.  

 

JV went 3-1 in Colby on Oct. 5, and the Freshman team went 4-1 in Abilene for a second-place finish on Oct. 5.  

 

Their record is now 14-9 on the season and will play on Oct. 7 at home.
