The volleyball team hosted their season opening tri on Aug. 30, splitting it 1-1. Teams present were LaCrosse Leopards and Larned Indians.

Hays vs Larned

25-20, 25-21

Freshman Tasiah Nunnery had 11 kills while sophomore Hannah McGuire had 10 assist. Sophomore Kallie Leiker had 17 digs.

Hays vs LaCrosse

18-25, 24-26

Freshman Tasiah Nunnery had 12 kills while sophomore Hannah McGuire had 10 assists. Sophomore Jaycee Dale had 3 aces and sophomore Kallie Leiker had 8 digs.

The ladies are now 1-1 on the season. Their next match is Sept. 8 at Dodge City.
