The baseball team went 1-1 in its first home game of the season.
Hays won the first game, 3-1, led by the pitching of Senior Hayden Hutchison who pitched a complete game giving up just two hits.
Hutchison also had three of the four hits by the Indians.
In the second game, the Indians fell 3-0.
Junior Kade Parker pitched the first four innings giving up all three runs. Junior Layne Downing came into the game in relief.
Senior Chandler Rule had the only hit for Hays in the game.
The baseball team is now 3-1 on the season and travels to Kapuan Mt. Carmel on Friday, April 5, for its next games.
