Boys basketball takes fourth

A fourth place finish was the result for the boys basketball team at the Colby Orange and Black Classic.

After defeating Burlington, Colo., 70-19, in the first round, Hays fell to McCook, Neb. and then Wichita West.

Against McCook the Indians lost 43-30.

In the third place game Hays fell to Wichita West, 67-53. Sophomore Brady Werth led the team in scoring with 24 points, he also grabbed 11 rebounds.

The next action for the boys basketball team is Friday, Jan. 25, against Dodge City.
