An unlucky second half goal proved to be the demise of the boys soccer team as it fell 1-0 to McPherson.
Throughout the first half both teams battled back and for, but the game was still a 0-0 draw when half time came.
The lone goal came after the ball bounced around inside the Indians penalty box and was deflected into the goal.
Hays gets back into action on Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the first round of the McPherson Invitational against Independence.
