The boys basketball team suffered a frustrating 44-38 loss to Pratt on Tuesday night.
Senior Zack Gaughan struggled throughout the game and got into foul trouble early. Gaughan had just 10 points and seven rebounds, both of which were season lows for the big man.
Senior Seth Tophoj also got into foul trouble and was forced to sit the majority of the second quarter.
Gaughan wasn’t the only person struggling against Pratt’s zone defense. The team shot just 30 percent from the field and was 4-of-22 from behind the arc for a percentage of just 18.
Pratt’s senior Matt Swank had a good game against the Indians with 21 points.
In the fourth quarter, the team started to make a comeback as it did against Junction City, but ended up falling short.
The next game is Friday night against Liberal.
