This year’s homecoming candidates were nominated by the senior class last week. Because of close numbers, six king and six queen candidates were chosen.

Some of the homecoming candidates felt surprised to have been chosen.

“It feels really exciting and I’m incredibly honored,” senior queen candidate, Sylina Zhang said. “I didn’t expect it at all.”

Senior Brooks Barber also felt quite shocked when his name was announced.

“I have been looking forward to seeing who the candidates would be for our class, but never exactly expected to be one myself,” Barber said. “It means a lot.”

The seniors chosen as homecoming candidates are as follows:

The candidate video will be shown in seminar on Sept. 23, voting will also be held that day.
