Spanish classes take multilingual test

After school on April 17 in the library, 31 students from the Spanish I, II and III classes at Hays High School took the Seal of Biliteracy test.

The Seal of Biliteracy test is used to see if students qualify to be officially bilingual in more than two languages. There are four different parts of the test – reading, writing, speaking and listening – which took around three hours for the students to complete.

“The test was a very long and complex process,” junior Gizel Ruiz said. “It wasn’t hard; it was just very long and stressful. I feel like I definitely should’ve studied more because I felt unprepared.”
