Excitement expressed for Halloween

Ding dong!

A smiley adult opens the door and gawks at someone’s costume, saying, “Well, don’t you look cute!” or “Happy Halloween!”

As a little kid, they grin and hold up their candy bag.

“Trick-or-treat!” they squeal.

Most students feel high schoolers are not too old to go trick-or-treating.

Plenty of high school students are still festive with Halloween spirit.

Freshman Maddie Keller said she is excited for Halloween night.

“I am going to dress up and hang out with friends and we will probably go trick-or-treating,” Keller said.

Junior Emily Peckham said she is excited because last year all she did was watch movies. This year she plans to hang out with friends and dress up.

“I am going to be a taxi driver with swag,” Peckham said.

Junior Becky Meagher said she and her family usually make Halloween decoration crafts and fun snacks.

“Then we have a party with family and friends and I take my nieces and nephews trick-or-treating,” Meagher said.

Freshman Dylan Flegler doesn’t think high school kids are immature if they trick-or-treat.

“I don’t think high school kids are too old to dress up and trick-or-treat; if they find it fun then they shouldn’t be judged on their age,” Flegler said.

Senior Alex Leiker said he has grown out of Halloween activities.

“I used to be into Halloween, but this year I will probably be working on the day.”
