On May 1, the boys golf team competed against Garden City at the Buffalo Dunes Invitational meet. Hays High School placed third overall with a combined score of 324, as Garden City was second place with 324 and Dodge City was first place with 315.
For varsity, junior Caleb Thompson shot a 76 and placed third, junior Braiden Bickle shot an 80 and placed seventh, junior Trey Oakley shot an 82 and placed eighth and senior Cooper Johnson shot an 86 and placed 16th.
For junior varsity, sophomore Mason Simmons shot 85 and placed third, junior Eli May shot 95 and placed ninth, junior Lane Wittman shot 97 and placed 11th, junior Bryson Fairbank shot 103 and placed 15th, junior Parker Linenberger shot 105 and placed 16th and junior Drew Wellbrock also shot 105 but placed 17th.
The team had their next meet on Monday, May 5 for the Garden City Invitational.
