Hays Indian baseball team plays nine teams from April 27 to May 10

From Thursday, April 27, to Wednesday, May 10, the Hays High Indian baseball team played in nine games.

On Thursday, April 27, the Indians faced off against the Paola Panthers. After a tough battle, Hays did not pull out the win, losing 7-2.

Later the same day, Hays High played against the Tonganoxie Chieftains, where the Indians fell short, 13-1.

On Friday, April 28, the Indians matched up against the St. Marys Bears, where Hays found their rhythm, winning the match, 14-4.

Following this game, Hays High played against the St. Marys Academy Crusaders, winning 14-4 again.

On Thursday, May 4, Hays played against their in-town rival, Thomas More Prep-Marian, where the Indians dominated, 11-1.

The Indians then played against Manhattan on Friday, May 5, where Hays’ winning streak was broken after losing 9-1.

The next game for the Indians was against the Brush Beetdiggers; after a tough loss previously, the Indians came out on top to win 14-3.

On Saturday, May 6, the Indians faced off against the Life Prep Fire. After a close game, the Indians fell just short, losing 7-4.

For their second-to-last game of the season, Hays took on Washburn Rural on Wednesday, May 10. Hays dominated this game, winning 8-1.

With an overall record of 10-8 on the year, Hays faces off against Great Bend on May 16 to close out the regular season.
