Boys golf plays at home, then in Salina

On April 17, the boys golf team hosted the annual Bob Blazer Hays High Invitational at Smoky Hill Country Club, where they played 18 holes.

Senior Blake Buckles led the Indians with an 84 for 17th, junior Braxton Banker and senior Ashton Bickle followed with an 85 taking 18th and 19th respectively, and senior Landen Clark took 24th with an 87. Together, they took fourth with a score of 341.

Later that week, on April 21, they played 18 holes at the Salina Municipal Golf Course for Salina South’s Invitational tournament. They took third at this tournament out of 11 teams, with a score of 333.

Bickle led with a 79 for sixth place, Clark followed with an 82 for 11th, freshman Caleb Thompson shot an 85 for 17th, Buckles took 27th with an 87 and Banker took 29th with an 88.
