Girls swim competes in last meet of the season
Girls swim team will not be competing at State this year.
The girls swimming team competed at Hutchinson on Monday, May 2.
Hays placed sixth with 102 points overall.
50 Freestyle – freshman Izabel Schmidt (25.95) placed first, senior Elizabeth Clingan (30.66) placed 16th and senior Lauryn Miller (32.55) placed 21st
100 Backstroke – Clingan (1:15.15) placed seventh, and Miller (1:28.15) placed 16th
100 Breaststroke – junior Rilee Schwarz (1:33.63) placed 10th, senior Gracie Wente (1:36.76) placed 12th and junior Kiki Gonzales (1:49.95) placed 18th
100 Butterfly – sophomore Kae Dees (1:48.67) placed 12th
100 Freestyle – Schmidt (56.28) placed first
200 Freestyle Relay – Clingan, Schwarz, Miller and Schmidt (2:02.53) placed fourth
200 IM – Gonzales (3:38.80) placed 12th, and Dees (3:38.98) placed 13th
200 Medley Relay – Clingan, Schwarz, Schmidt and Miller (2:16.33) placed fifth, and Gonzales, Wente, Dees and Haddaway (2:50.75) placed 15th
400 Freestyle Relay – Delreal, Dealy, Gonzales and Dees (5:52.71) placed 11th
500 Freestyle – Dealy (8:29.47) placed eighth
