Closing out their last Western Athletic Conference and last home games, the Indian softball team was able to capture two wins, 5-4 and 9-8.

The first game started off with Liberal scoring two runs in the top of the first due to three errors for the Indians. Hays then scored a single run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Then, freshman Riley Dreher was able to hit a deep fly ball to left field, allowing sophomore Aubree Thomas to score from third to walk off the game.

Thomas pitched the first game for the Indians and allowed eight hits. In between games of the double header, the team honored their five seniors.

The second game the Indians were able to find four runs in the bottom of the first inning, before Liberal was able to make a comeback and force the Indians to find two runs to capture the win in the bottom of the seventh.

They were able to do that, with Dreher and sophomore Lakyn Zimmerman scoring to push the Indians to their second victory on Senior Night.

Dreher pitched the second game for the Indians and came out with the complete game victory.
