Girls golf takes second at state tournament to end their season

On Oct. 18-19, the girls golf team played in the 5A Kansas State Girls Golf Championship at Carey Park Golf Course in Hutchinson. They played 36 holes in two days.

Junior Katie Dinkel shot a 165 for ninth, senior Taleia McCrae took 17th with a 180, sophomore Abbie Norris shot a 188 for 25th, sophomore Evyn Cox and junior Claire Humphrey both tied for 29th with a 194 and freshman Jaycee Oakley placed 43rd with a 205.

With a total score of 725, they took home the state runner-up trophy to conclude their season.
