Boys golf comes in third at regionals

Sophomore Braden Hoskin takes a practice putt on the green of hole number nine at Smoky Hill Golf Course.

Boys golf 5A regionals were hosted at the Salina Municipal Golf Course on May 17, where the team played 18 holes and par was 70.

Sophomore Braden Hoskins placed sixth with a score of 74, senior Jason Krannawitter shot a 75 and placed eighth, senior Weston Hoskins scored an 86 for 21st and junior Ashton Hernandez placed 26th with an 86.

The team the placed third with a score of 323, qualifying for the state championship at Newton for the 12th consecutive year.
