The Indian offense takes a timeout in the game against Junction City

The football team added another loss to its record on Sept. 13falling 46-30 to its rival, the Great Bend Panthers.

The Indians struggled up until the end of the third quarter when they scored multiple touchdowns and picked up their momentum.

Senior Hayden Brown scored with five minutes left in the third quarter and started the Indians’ scoring drive.

Brown’s touchdown was followed by sophomore quarterback Dylan Dreiling’s eight-yard pass to sophomore Carson Kieffer for another touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

Brown went on to score another touchdown, this time a seven-yard run. That was closely followed by sophomore Jordan Dale’s 30-yard touchdown from Dreiling.

The Indians would score once more when Dreiling hit sophomore Jaren Kanak for a 46-yard passing touchdown.

They rallied for the comeback in the fourth, but there was not enough time to triumph over the Panthers.

The Indians will look to improve their record in Liberal on Sept. 20 and then will play at home in two weeks on Sept. 27 against Garden City for the Homecoming game.
