Boys soccer season ends with 1-0 loss to McPherson

Senior Trey McCrea fights off Garden City Defender to keep control of the ball.

Boys soccer came up short in first round of regional’s, falling 1-0 to the McPherson Bullpups.

The Indians held of the Bullpups the first half, hanging back and playing very defensively. Looking to counter attack, while the Indians created a few opportunities nothing came of them.

The second half brought about more opportunities to take the lead for both teams.

Neither could capitalize on these chances until the Bulldogs received a corner kick half way into the second half.

As the ball flew in a McPherson player broke free and put a head on the ball and put it in the back of the net.

The only goal of the game sealed the Indians season as the minute ran off the clock.

The Indians ended their season 6-11 on the season.
