2-2 finish for volleyball at WAC tournament
The Lady Indian volleyball team travel to Dodge City for the Western Athletic Conference tournament were they went 2-2, making its record 22-11. In this tournament it competed against Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend and Liberal.
In the first match against Dodge City the Indians took it with the scores of 25-15 and 25-14. In this match junior Tasiah Nunnery had 13 kills while seniors Hannah McGuire and Jaycee Dale had 19 assists and four solo blocks respectively.
In the second match the ladies went down in two against Garden City, finishing out the match with the scores of 12-25 and 14-25. T. Nunnery had eight kills in this match while McGuire and Dale had 11 set assists and five solo blocks respectively. Senior Kallie Leiker also complied eight digs for her team.
In the third match the scores of 14-25 and 23-25 were the end results of the loss against Great Bend. In this match T. Nunnery had 11 kills, McGuire had 14 assists and sophomore Brooklyn Schaffer had 16 digs.
The final match of the tournament for the Indians ended with a win against Liberal with the scores of 21-25, 25-17, and 25-17. To end the day T. Nunnery had 14 kills and five solo blocks. McGuire 14 assists and Leiker had 17 digs.
The Lady Indians next action will be Oct. 16 at Salina for the Salina Central Tri.
