Girls’ tennis team plays at home

The girls’ tennis team had their home meet on Sept. 4. Teams there include Russel, Victoria, Norton and Colby.

The team came in first place overall out of the five teams, compiling a total of 20 points, 4 points higher than Victoria who got second place.

First place for number one singles goes to junior Brooke Forinash who went 4-0. She won all four games 6-1. Sophomore Sierra Brown played number two singles and had a 1-3 mark. She put up a good effort but was unable to secure a win.

The number one doubles team consisted of senior Emily McPherson and junior Fabi Pyschny. They went 4-0 and secured first place.

Junior Sylina Zhang and freshmen Sarah Wyse played together for number two doubles and had a 3-1 mark. They secured second place for the team.
