Teachers are there to help

With every subject comes a topic a student will not understand at first. Not knowing how to do something is just the process of learning.

When a student doesn’t understand something on their homework, they should go in to get help from a teacher.

Some students think that homework isn’t all that important because it is weighted lower than tests and quizzes. However, I think that every single grade put in to the grade book adds up no matter what the weight is. Doing well on homework can boost a border line grade.

I think students should try a problem they don’t know how to do and if after quite a while of staring at the problem, go in and get help. Sometimes you can surprise yourself if you actually try to do something you don’t think you know how to do.

Teachers can explain homework problems better than friends can because they actually have the answer key. Friends may think they know how to do it but lead you in the wrong direction.

I think students should find out what they struggle with so that they don’t have to struggle on the quizzes and tests. Not knowing how to get the answer on a quiz is one of the worst feelings but can be avoided by asking a teacher how to do a problem like that beforehand.

Getting help from a teacher every once in a while is like studying periodically and keeps you from cramming right before a test.

Homework isn’t always a bad thing because it can show what you struggle on. If students don’t do the homework, they never find out what they need help on.

Going in to get help from a teacher can help students understand the subject better because they are being taught outside of the classroom.
