Freshmen have monthly leadership meetings

About once a month, the freshmen meet with the Leadership Team to learn about things that will help them.

“We teach the freshmen how to do things,” junior Scott Ring said. “I think they’re going well.”

Many freshmen think these meetings are beneficial and a good learning experience.

“They can be fun,” freshman Brendan Chapman said. “Usually the leadership team teaches us some skills and stuff that we may not have known how to do before.”

Freshman Savannah Bieker said the students in Leadership Team have helped the freshmen ready their resumes and check their GPA’s.

“Some people already knew most of the stuff they taught us,” Bieker said. “The meetings are helpful for people who didn’t already know about it though.”

Freshman Sara Rohleder said she loves the meetings.

While many freshmen find the meetings to be productive and informational, a few students disagree.

“I think they’re kind of pointless,” freshman Jadin Casto said. “We usually just sit there and they talk to us but we’ve already figured out most of the stuff they tell us.”
