Agendas good or bad?

It’s a late Sunday night, and after a long day you suddenly wonder if you had an assignment. You quickly try to get a hold of friends or try to remember but you can’t, so you flip through all your school material.

“A lot of teachers say they have everything written on Moodle, but then you look and the assignments aren’t up,” junior Belle Lee said. “So for me it’s better to write everything down.”

Teachers often times list their assignments on Moodle or their boards, but sometimes they don’t update it. Or they get off track with the dates so students have to go in and ask the teacher or ask a friend.

“I have to focus my memory, and if I write everything down it will get worse,” junior Fernando Guzman said.

Not every student needs an agenda though. Some students have a good memory and can keep track of everything around them, or they have classes where they don’t get very many assignments.

“I think it’s a personal decision, but in theory, if you write something down you will remember it better.” English teacher Diane Mason said. “If you do happen to keep track of the things around you, it’s better to write them down rather than post it on a sticky note.”
