Boys basketball finishes week 2-0
The Hays High boys basketball team ended the week of Jan. 10-Jan. 14 going 2-0 in league play.
In the first game of the week against rival Great Bend on Jan. 11, the Indians won, 58-31. Senior Jace Linenberger came through with 19 points, and senior Carson Kieffer was just behind him with 18 points.
Hays High then went on the road to face the Garden City Buffaloes, winning the matchup, 69-42. Four players scored in double digits, including Linenberger with 20, Kieffer with 13, senior Jordan Dale with 13 and senior Noah Weimer with 10.
Hays is now 8-1 on the season and 4-0 in Western Athletic Conference play.
Hays High will play next in the Colby Orange and Black Classic tournament starting on Jan. 20.
