The Lady Indian volleyball team went 2-1 in their opening tri at Chapman on Aug. 29. Other teams present were Riley County, Alama, and Chapman.

Hays vs Riley County

25-27, 25-21, 25-23

Sophomore Tasiah Nunnery had fifteen kills, juniors Kallie Lieker, Jaycee Dale, and Hannah McGuire had twenty-four digs, four solo blocks and fifteen assists respectively.

Hays vs Alma

25-13, 25-15

Nunnery had nine kills, while McGuire and Leiker had nine assists and thirteen digs respectively.

Hays vs Chapman

25-19, 21-25, 20-25

Nunnery and junior Savannah Schneider had nine kills. Leiker had thirty-four digs and McGuire had eight assists.

The ladies went 2-1 on the day and their next action will be at Dodge City on Sept. 7.
