Boys cross country runs at Junction City
Hays placed 10th as a team out of a 10 team field on Oct. 5 at Junction City with a score of 215.
On the varsity team, senior Landon Munsch had a time of 18:11 and freshman Zachary Hopp came in with a time of 18:20. Behind them was senior Kendall Kandt with a time of 18:33 and then freshman Ethan Shippy with a time of 18:41. Junior Dylan Schmitt finished with a time of 19:09 and behind him was senior Austin Chambers with a time of 19:15.
For the junior varsity team, freshman Ryan Fort came in with a time of 19:16, followed by freshman Caden Cunningham with a time of 20:23 and junior Daniel Hertel with a time of 20:49. Senior Boone Pruter finished with a time of 20:59 and freshman Alex Tinkel had a final time of 21:07.
Senior Aaron Voss finished with a time of 21:18 and sophomore Bradyn Meredith had a time of 21:20 followed by freshman Adam Brungardt in at 21:29. Next was junior Kaelan Dietze with a time of 21:34 followed by sophomore Chantz Taliaferro with a time of 21:42. Senior Landon Stroup finished with 21:44 followed by sophomore Brenden Koenigsman at 23:35 and freshman Jordan Voss with a time of 24:36.
There were 78 varsity runners and 130 junior varsity runners.
Other team scores were Manhattan, 17; Maize, 86; Derby, 111; Maize South, 113; and Junction City, 137.
The next action for the boys team is on Oct. 12 at Salina Central.
