Sophomore Ashton Hernandez dribbles the ball around an opponent during the home game against Great Bend on Jan. 14.

On Feb. 4, the Indians played the Salina South Cougars at home and lost 65-51.

The Indians and Cougars were tied twice and swapped leads five times in the first half alone.

Going into halftime, the Cougars had the lead and held onto the lead until the end of the game. The Indians were able to bring the score close again, but then committed two turnovers.

The Cougars held on to the lead the rest of the fourth quarter, and the Indians could never catch up.

Sophomore Jordan Dale led his team with a career high of 15 points, and junior Dalyn Schwarz had 11 points, for his seventh game with double figures this season.

The Indians move to 8-5 on the year, and they will play on Feb. 7 in Dodge City.
