After the Indians fifth place finish in the Hays City Shootout, the Indians traveled to Colby in their first away game on Dec. 11 to try and improve their 1-2 record.

Starting off the first quarter, the Colby Eagles would have a 6-0 run on the Indians. The Eagles would then score six more points, putting them up 12-7.

After the first quarter, the Indians would go on a 9-0 run, responding to the Eagle’s previous run. The Indians would regain the lead, going into the half 24-19.

Coming out of the half, the Indians would score eight straight points. The Indians would extend their lead to 36-22 in the third quarter.

Throughout the fourth quarter, the Eagles would refuse to give up the game early, coming back with a 12-0 run putting them within two points from the Indians. The game would go back and fourth for the last few minutes of the game. The Eagles would tie the game with 1:10 left in the fourth quarter. Colby’s shots would be frozen for the remainder of the game, while the Indians would make three out of six free throws, wining them game 47-44.

The Indians are now 2-2 on the season and will host Pratt on Tuesday Dec. 18 at home.
