Hays High School recently had its annual Prom this year with the theme of “Tangled” from “Rapunzel.” The dance was held April 12 at 8 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn.
A little more than 600 students attended the dance that night. Students could sit at tables and converse, play games or dance the night away.
At 10:15 p.m. the Prom royalty candidates were introduced, along with their parents. Crowned king and queen were senior Hank Corsair and senior Molly Martin.
“I was surprised, and to be honest, I didn’t want the spotlight, but I was happy to get the honor of being named Prom king,” Corsair said. “I didn’t expect to win, and I thought there were four guys that had a better chance of winning.”
