On Wednesday, Nov. 13, staff members from Hays High School competed against TMP staff members in a friendly volleyball game, sponsored by the schools’ Student Councils, to raise money for DSNWK.
To get into the game, attendees were asked to bring canned goods. All the canned goods were then donated to DSNWK.
The first match between the staff resulted in a TMP win. The second and third matches were taken by Hays High.
The winning Hays High staff team consisted of volleyball coach Shannon Funk, ISS coordinator Vinny Walker, math teacher Samantha Voorhees, activities director Lance Krannawitter, FACS teacher Nicole Linenberger, paraeducator Amy Ruder, counseling secretary Hillary Randa, history and StuCo coordinator Luke Lundmark, and ELL language arts teacher Moises DeLima.
“I like how our community comes together and sets aside hometown rivalries for a common purpose,” Linenberger said.
