On Friday, Feb. 23, the Options Student Advisory Board organized and executed their annual “Chalk About Love” project during PRIDE Time.
This student-led event involves students by having them draw or write positive messages on the entryway of the high school. Sponsors of the club supplied chalk and other materials.
“We do it to spread positive messages to the people who walk into the school,” senior board member Arely Maldonado said. “It all has to do with advocating for teen dating violence.”
Along with the students, sponsors and adult board members came to participate.
“I just want people to remember that love shouldn’t hurt,” senior board member Lily Garrison said.
