The staff versus student dodgeball game, hosted by Student Council, took place on Nov. 21 in Gym B. The event was organized by senior class president Lillian McGrath and senior class vice president Sydney Meier.
The staff team had a round against each class, with the staff defeating the freshmen, sophomores and juniors, but losing to the seniors. The seniors then faced the staff in the championship round and won the final round, winning them the tournament.
While the student body was originally supposed to attend the dodgeball event, the administration determined that only those who signed up to participate would attend because of safety concerns. Tribe Broadcasting, though, did live-stream the event to PRIDE Time classrooms if students wanted to watch.
“We planned the dodgeball game this year after seeing the success of our staff versus student basketball game [last year], and we wanted to have more events similar to it,” McGrath said. “Hopefully, next year, all of the student body will be able to attend, as originally planned.”
The staff members who participated included Eric Beckman, Jessica Clingan, Sean Dreiling, Shannon Funk, Laycie Haas, Chelsea Haskett, Kip Keely, Luke Lundmark, Heath Meder, Tom Philip and Haley Wolf.
