Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) gathered on Oct. 17 in the cafeteria for a regular club meeting.

Upon gathering, the group members discussed their plans for their upcoming blood drive that is happening on Tuesday, Nov. 7 in Gym B. Club members were asked to sign up to help with the blood drive.

They also talked about the Journeys and Destinations Day at Hays Medical Center, which took place on Nov. 1. It was an all-day event, in which students could learn about different careers possible at HaysMed.

There was also a follow-up meeting on Oct. 31 to finalize plans for the blood drive. People are able to sit at the table during lunch periods to help people sign up for the blood drive.

“We have a lot of our HOSA members helping with the blood drive,” senior Julia Zadina said. “They are either working the blood drive, or they are donating blood. We are responsible for getting people signed up to donate blood.”
