On Friday, Sept. 9, the 2022 Homecoming candidates were announced.

The senior class voted for possible candidates the week prior.

The queen candidates are seniors Lily Biggs, Hannah Eikenberry, Avery Harmoney, Savannah Lawson and Rilee Schwarz. King candidates are seniors Blake Buckles, Royal Gantt, Karsten Koenke, Remy Stull and Tanner Werth.

The final voting for the Homecoming King and Queen will take place on Thursday, Oct. 6 after watching the candidate video in PRIDE Time. The winners will be crowned during halftime of the Homecoming football game on Friday, Oct. 7, and the Homecoming dance will be Saturday, Oct. 8.

“Being nominated is a dream,” Gantt said. “I’ve been wanting to become King since I was little, so being nominated means a lot to me. I love all my fans and all the people around me that support me.”
