On Friday, Jan. 14, the 2022 Indian Call candidates were announced at the end of the school day.
Seniors voted for potential candidates during the week, with voting opening on Wednesday, Jan. 12 and closing on Friday, Jan. 14.
The king candidates are seniors Nate Brooks, Ashton Hernandez, Connor Jacobs, Jace Linenberger and Noah Weimer. Queen candidates are seniors Jersey Johnson, Grace McCord, Lauryn Miller, Jocelyn Rigler and Caroline Robben.
“When I found out I was a candidate, I felt very surprised and honored to be chosen by my class,” Johnson said. “It is such a cool experience and something that I don’t want to take for granted. I feel very grateful and so happy for all of the other candidates who get the same opportunity!”
Miller was also surprised to find out she was voted as a candidate.
“I was very surprised when I heard I was an Indian Call candidate,” Miller said. “I really wasn’t expecting it.”
