Indians capture first playoff win since 1993
On Nov. 5, the Indian football team traveled to Andover for the first game of the playoffs, and they won, 18-6.
The defenses for both teams limited in the amounts of points scored in the first half, with the score being 6-0 in favor of the Indians going into halftime.
Andover was able to gain some traction in the final play of the first half, but they were stopped by senior Gavin Meyers, who sacked the quarterback, which led to Andover losing 14 yards.
Starting the second half, the Indians were able to score on a slew of plays, ending in a touchdown from senior Jaren Kanak.
The final Indian points of the game came with a few minutes left in the fourth quarter, where Kanak scored his second touchdown of the night, making the score 18-0.
Andover scored one touchdown themselves, but would be unable to make up the scoring deficit.
The Indians are now 8-2 on the season and will travel to Maize on Nov. 12, in hopes of continuing their run into the playoffs.
