Select math students competed in Math Relays on Nov.8. The team finished the competition first overall in the 4-5-6A division.

“I think the team did great,” instructor Dustin Dreher said. “Taking first place – that’s the first time in 20 years. Overall, the team did a good job.”

The Math Relays team competes in math-related events from number sense to trigonometry. There are 6 events in the whole competition and the team placed at least top 10 in each one.

Students are chosen for the Math Relays based on teacher recommendation.

Event 1: Using Number Sense:
