Students receive Kansas Scholastic Art Awards
The Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition will take place Jan. 27 to March 2.
The Silver Key Opening session is on Jan. 27 and the Gold Key and Scholarship Closing Reception will be on March 5.
Gold Keys are the highest recognition followed by Silver Key and then Honorable Mention.
Senior Morgan Budig received Honorable Mention in both Painting: Range and Painting: Underground.
Senior Tanner Callis was awarded Silver Key Drawing and Illustration: Communicate, From Here To There.
Sophomore Iris Garibay received Silver Key Drawing and Illustration: Un Amore Privato.
“I am so excited to announce that three of our high school art students were chosen and awarded for their art work,” said art instructor Jennifer Younger. “Congratulations to Morgan Budig, Tanner Callis and Iris Garibay.”
